So silently you lie in bed,

I know there must be elephants trampling through your head.

Welcome to the Greatest Show on Earth!–

Ferocious lions, angry caged animals–

Climbing rafters–some cadaverous.

Chaotic thrills and cat-call shrills,

You watch and sit in spectacular mediocrity.

The lion tamer, you are, my friend.

Wakeup, open and exercise your skills again.

You are the greatest lion tamer

Of the only show on Earth!
